Hi Vasu,
Today is the fourth day I've been confined to bed. I'm very sorry that I couldn't visit the Hanuman temple today (Saturday). I am sorry Hanumanji. I will go on Tuesday. The food for sugar patients is very boring—no taste, bitter, and generally unappetizing. Before eating anything, I check online to see the sugar content and whether it's suitable for diabetics. It seems 95% of the food contains sugar, even if it's as little as 0.5%. I'm trying to avoid high-sugar foods and, of course, moderate my intake of those with moderate sugar levels. Even chapati contains sugar. Mom is giving me upma and "gatka" (Telangana sugar patients regional dish), which she says helps reduce blood sugar. I'll finish my five-day course of medication on Sunday and then check my sugar levels again. I'll also check on my foot infection to see how much it has healed. I feel some swelling, but I want the damaged area to heal quickly.
I'm thinking about starting a new business, perhaps a franchise where we are the ones granting the franchise rights. I believe a service industry business would be best. Thinking about it is one thing, but having the necessary skills is another. Coming to Mumbai and finding a hostel will incur expenses, so I need a job presently. I'll think about a business later because no one trusts me enough to give me a loan. I'm 40, with no family support, no friends' support, no bank balance, and no savings—there's only me. Learning new things isn't easy. If I do learn something, I'll have to work ten times harder. This isn't a movie, and I'm not Rajinikanth.
I'm remembering the old days, before you came into my life. I was working in back offices and call centers, struggling to find good jobs. I tried to find a girlfriend then, too, but because of my low income and living in a Goregaon chawl, no one was interested. After struggling for five years, I got the job at Volkswagen, and then you came into my life. Maybe you were my arraiving in my life.
I waited only for you and was frustrated from waiting for hours and hours. Eventually, my mind and heart became accustomed to waiting. After transfering Aurangabad I came back to Mumbai twice in a month on weekends just to meet you. I traveled frequently between Pune and Mumbai. At that time, my friends were living in bachelor accommodations, which made it convenient for me to stay with them.
Happy Propose Day, Vasu!
